Forschner: Best Chef Knife under $40!

If you are looking to buy a quality Chef Knife at an affordable price listen to what the reviewers are saying. In this case reviewers liked Forschner Victorinox. In fact, Cook's Country Magazine (sister magazine to Cook's Illustrated) recommended this budgetary chef knife after a test kitchen trial.

1. Forschner Victorinox Fibrox Chef's Knife

Priced from: $35.50

Review:
Cook's Country Magazine said- "Premium-quality knife at a bargain price. Knives costing four times as much would be hard pressed to match in performance."

Blade - Forschner blades are made of high carbon, stainless steel that are hand finished by skilled craftsmen in Switzerland. The blades are sharp and are made using a special tempering process that produces an edge that can be sharpened repeatedly.
Handle - This knife uses a NSF approved Fibrox handle. It is slip resistant, hygienic, and dishwasher safe, (Although better to wash and dry by hand). The handle is also designed to minimize tension in the wrist.
